Activities

It is our belief that all members of the church are called to lives of service, and so we have many activities in the church so that everybody can find their own place. Anyone who would like more information should email us, and we will try to get the appropriate info to you.

Bellringers
We are fortunate to have a fine peal of eight bells in our tower, and Cheryl Lavington is always looking out for more volunteers to help!

Cleaning Rota
We rely on volunteers to keep the church clean and tidy; if you would like to help, have a word with church warden Derek Phillips.

Flower Arrangers
We are increasingly using a small number of artificial arrangements to brighten up the church week by week, but for major festivals we always try to fill the church with fine fresh flowers. We are always keen to have more people join in with us in doing this!

Hospitality
After every Sunday 11am service and every Wednesday 10am service we provide tea and coffee, and would be grateful of offers to help or to provide cakes etc. We sometimes also help provide refreshments at some of the special events and concerts in the church.

Mothers Union
The Mothers' Union exists to promote family values and to pray for families in the church. We meet in church on the first Thursday of each month at 2pm, and will always welcome new members.

PCC (Parochial Church Council)
Elected from members of our electoral roll, the PCC's role in church life is to oversee the practical organisation of church life. We discuss everything from the format of services to the cleaning of drains! This vital committee is at the heart of parish life.

Prayer group
We meet at various times to pray for the life of the church: breakfasts, suppers, late evenings. We want to gather to pray for God's blessing upon our church, and his guidance in how we might better serve him and our community here in Pontypridd. our main meeting is on the first Saturday of every month at 9.30am in the Vicarage.

Sunday School / Children's Church
Our Children's Church normally meets during the 11am Sunday Service for a fun time to think about Christian faith in ways that will meet them at whatever stage of learning is best for them. Go to the Kidz page for more info.

Welcomers
We always need keen, helpful people who want to welcome those who visit our church. Anyone who can smile should apply!

Working Party
A dedicated group of retired men who do various necessary jobs around the church week by week - and enjoy doing it! Age is no bar, only a bit of experience and a willingness to muck in!
